FAQ

Straight answers.

Timing, price, accounts, and what happens to an email address.

What is BodyCommit?

BodyCommit is a free extension for VS Code and Cursor. It offers 60-second movement breaks — stretching, short mini workouts such as desk squats and jumping jacks, and breathing — during long coding sessions and while an AI agent is working.

When does a break appear?

Only at a natural pause. That means an AI agent is writing, a build or test run is in progress, or a long session reaches a gap when you are not typing. It does not open a prompt mid-flow.

Can I skip a break?

Yes. Every prompt has Start 60s, Snooze 15m, and Skip. Skipping is a normal outcome. The next offer waits for another natural pause.

Do I need an account?

No. Routines, skips, streaks, minutes, and the daily summary stay on your machine, in the editor profile. The extension does not ask you to sign in.

Is this medical advice?

No. BodyCommit is a movement reminder, not a health service. Move in a range that feels okay, and stop if something feels off. It does not assess your health.

How much does it cost?

The extension is free. Pro is planned for later, at about €4 per month or €45 per year, and adds the full routine library plus custom programs. Pro checkout is not connected yet. The waitlist is how you'll hear when install and Pro open.

Which editors and systems?

VS Code and Cursor, on Windows, macOS, and Linux. The Marketplace listing is not public yet. Join the waitlist and the install link comes first to that list.

What does the waitlist email get used for?

A confirmation message, then occasional notes about the install link and launch. Signup is double opt-in: Buttondown sends the confirmation when the list is connected, and an address is only subscribed after that link is opened. You can unsubscribe on the privacy page or by emailing hello@bodycommit.com. The list is not sold.

Does the website use cookies or tracking?

The site does not set tracking cookies, and it does not load analytics unless the operator turns on a cookieless, Plausible-compatible script with a config flag. That flag is off by default. The extension's break history is not sent to this website.

What is the daily summary?

A short local note of the breaks and minutes from that day, shown in the editor. An example from the product is a streak, a category bar, and a recent list. It stays on the machine. It is not uploaded and it is not compared with other people.

Who makes BodyCommit?
